At SchemaLLM, we are committed to providing powerful tools for structured data mapping while strictly protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how SchemaLLM (the "Extension") handles information when you use our Chrome Extension.

1. Overview: The "No-LLM Prototype" Status

Currently, SchemaLLM is in a No-LLM prototype phase. This means that while the extension is designed to help you map and build structured data schemas, this version does not connect to, send data to, or receive data from any Large Language Model (LLM) providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google Gemini). All mapping and configuration happen entirely within your local browser environment.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We believe in data minimization. SchemaLLM:

• Does not collect your name, email address, or contact information.
• Does not track your browsing history or record the content of the websites you visit.
• Does not store your data on external servers.
• Does not sell, rent, or monetize your data in any way.

3. Information Collected and Stored Locally

To function effectively, the Extension stores specific configuration data locally on your device using Chrome’s storage.local API:

• Schema Templates: Any structured data maps or schemas you build within the extension.
• User Preferences: Settings and configurations related to the extension’s interface.

This data remains on your computer and is not accessible by the SchemaLLM team or any third parties.

4. Chrome Permissions and Their Use

To provide its core functionality, SchemaLLM may request the following permissions:

• Storage: Required to save your custom schemas and mapping configurations locally so they are available the next time you open the extension.
• ActiveTab/Scripting: Required only to interact with the webpage you are currently viewing for the purpose of identifying data structures and mapping fields.
