Privacy Policy for UTM Snap
Effective Date: January 1, 2026
Last Updated: January 1, 2026
At UTM Snap, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how UTM Snap ("the Tool," "the Extension") handles information when you use our browser extension.
1. Information We Collect
UTM Snap is designed to be a "privacy-first" tool for digital marketers.
- User-Provided Information: We do not require you to create an account or provide personal information (like your name or email) to use the core features of the extension.
- Technical Data: To function, the extension must access the URL of the current tab you are on so it can append UTM parameters to it.
- Locally Stored Data: Any "Presets" or "Templates" you create within the tool are stored locally in your browser's storage. We do not see, store, or have access to your custom UTM configurations on our servers.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected solely to:
- Generate the tagged tracking links you request.
- Save your settings and presets for your future use (stored locally on your device).
- Improve the technical performance of the extension.
We do not "sell" or "rent" your browsing history or your generated links to third parties.
3. Data Storage and Security
- Local Storage: Your data (presets and last-used tags) stays on your computer. If you uninstall the extension, this data is typically deleted by the browser.
- Encryption: If the extension communicates with any external APIs (e.g., for link shortening), we use industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption.
4. Third-Party Services
UTM Snap may interact with third-party services only if you explicitly trigger them:
